CORE COMPETENCIES OF A VISUAL PRACTITIONER

The premise is we need both practical skills and technical skills and they’re required to perform the job a, and key to a successful job performance. Within the core competencies we will find a mix of innate abilities and learned abilities." - RPA

The IFVP Institute is working to list the core competencies as a result of a combination of a study initiated in 2018 by Renatta Algalarrondo, the voices and opinions from the community, 101 interviews with visual practitioners, review from the IFVP board members, and the results of hosting open dialogues with visual practitioners. The working group members are:  Sam Bradd, Brian Tarallo, Tanya Gadsby and Renatta Algalarrondo.
